Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actress and television presenter. She's best known as the protagonist of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. The only child of Romanian actors Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered entertainment early and began performing lead roles in various television dramas by the time she was just 16. After her critically acclaimed role in the television movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play several other acclaimed roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge for the film Downfall. This film was nominated for an Oscar and garnered critical praise. Another Oscar nominated films featuring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra worked on several notable international and national projects throughout the past few years. These projects include her work on the British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time and as the French historical Miniseries Napoleon. The actress also served on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
